1978 case 450 dozer

(quoted from post at 16:31:38 07/22/18) Any you came guys know much about these
dozens any known issues

Operated two different 450's one summer back in the early 70's while home from college. One had a tilt blade, don't think it was a six-way, the other had a backhoe attachment that mounted with pins. I'd love to have one now. One thing I remember though is that the brakes were rusted solid on both those 450's. The machines were fairly new.

Never use the brakes on mine always use the hi/lo to turn it, they are easy to work on on those units though thankfully, mine has over 30,000 hrs on it still a Great machine

Remembered one other thing, in the high side they are capable of traveling faster than one ought run one. Enjoyed the thrill of speed one morning on the way to meet the first dump truck. Broke the center out of the right side front idler. Got a finger wagged at me over that. Made me fix it too.

A Loader is a different thing and yes I have brakes on all three other Case crawlers I have,, I just mean I do not spin my 450 around with brakes for turning,,
