Hydraulic pump lost its prime with oil change

After an extended period, the clutch change a re-wire my DB 885 is complete enough to finally start it. Back when the top was off the transmission the oil was drained so any sludge could be removed and the filter renewed. The hydraulic pump, it appears has lost its prime. I followed the manual instructions to place the quadrant in the lower position before start-up, waited thirty seconds after firing the engine and tried to raise the 3-point... nothing doing. Referred to the manual again were it says, "loosen pressure line connections between pump and relief valve(s). Restart engine and tighten the connections when oil starts to flow". The only relief valve I find in the schematic is the one on the pump itself, which is inside so they must be referring to something else? The tractor has external hydraulics and a loader but what relief valve(s)? Where do I crack open lines to bleed air?
