Finshing the 1941 SC Fenders

Hello all!

Well, got some bodywork done on the fenders I picked up in the spring for the 1941 SC... It will be nice to get the originals back on. They were in pretty good shape to start out with, which in my experience has been hard to find. Took a few photos and thought I would share. Going to let them cure a couple days and they will be mounted this weekend.

Now, if I could just sell the shallow shell rear fenders I have so I can put some new lights on these fenders! Anyone looking? :-D

Thanks, Don. Although, I cannot take credit for the paint work. A good friend of mine was in auto body for many years. We worked on this together - he is teaching me as we go. I did a lot of the grunt work like sanding and shaping. He took care of laying down the primer and paint. He is a master at his craft!

I believe it is a 1936 Plymouth P-2 2 Door Sedan. It is a project he is working on right now... His wife has a 56 Chevy Bel Air that is real nice but still in primer. Also has a 51 GMC 2 ton on a 26' RV frame that he is in the middle of turning into a flatbed hauler. He likes his projects, that is for sure!

Here is a photo of him painting the SC in the paint booth at the shop he used to work at...

Well, not my first time prepping for paint. Lol. My good friend is the guru, I just try to do as much grunt work as I can to help the
process. But, I am learning from him a little bit every time.

Thank you, sir! Lot of time into both sets of fenders, that is for sure. I would like to get 2 hundred for the set I took off. I don't have anyone going through Louisville, but we might be able to get them out through Fastenal on a pallet if you want to pay shipping. I can give you a call tomorrow, otherwise shoot me an e-mail if you want at [email protected]
