Ok Saturday I worked the brakes over on my Racine diesel 400. New seals the hole 9 yards. After I finished I decided to take it down the road for a short drive. The neighbor was out so I stopped, shut the tractor off to talk. Went to start it after about 10 minutes an nothing. The starter just made a thump. We tried to pull start it and it just slid the tires. Got it back to the shop I couldn't get the engine to turn over with a bar on the front pulley. I pulled the starter rolled the engine backwards just a bit an checked the starter. Put it back together and it worked just fine. Starts, runs , moves. I have started it 30 times since this happened. Does anyone have a clue why the engine "locked up"? It runs fine now. No knocking or other weird noises.
