CK 930 gas high speed miss under load?

When I would mow under load; I would get the engine loosing rpm and if I did not disengage the mower the engine would die.
I have inspected gas tank with camera, cleaned the fuel shut off under fuel tank, checked the fuel flow after fuel filter, and replaced the electric shut off valve on carburetor and yet under extreme load I get a slight
miss. Drops 100=200 rpms. It has a electronic ignition instead of points but the original coil.
I am going to replace spark plugs and clean air filter but any suggestions on where to go next well be much appreciated. I have been using gasoline with 10% alcohol.
Tractor has no misses when rpm's are keep under 1500rpm. But with the governor kicked in and running 1500-1700 rpms I get that miss. Thank you for your help John

I realize it can be difficult, but avoid alcohol if at all possible. Not just for you, but for the tractor too. If you can't get gasoline without, fatten the mixture a bit. While you're changing plugs, and preferably after adjusting valves, do a compression test (remember throttle and choke wide open), no use chasing spark or fuel or ?? if compression isn't over 100 and even across cylinders. Use an ohmmeter to check spark plug wires, should be zero or close to it. Inspect cap & rotor, look for corrosion on rotor tip and cap pins, make sure you have good contact between rotor bug and cap center contact. Are you overheating? Milky oil? Is the exhaust good and loud and unrestricted? No mouse nests in the air intake? Or mud-dauber nests? Do you have a good hot blue spark that'll jump 1/2" or better? Then next year I'll come up with some more stuff to check.

One problem I have run into repeatedly from gasohol is swelling of rubber tips on carb float valves. If you must replace such a float valve make sure you get a Viton needle tip, they can handle the ethanol. Fuel pump diaphrams can also soften and leak because of it.
