If the tractor is new to the family, I would drain the oil and then pull the filter screen. With filter screen out reach finger into middle of pan and check the DEPTH of the SEDIMENT! Oil filter or not sediment builds from drain back of clutch housing. Next pull the small plug at the bottom of the clutch housing to drain sediment, water and clutch particles. Yep, it's a dry clutch that gets constant oil spray from the rear main and the oil returning to the pan carries in all that bad stuff!
