Getting ready to paint the 930

I just pulled the 930 outside the other day, I've been trying to get ready to paint the 930 for a few weeks now, did the brakes, doing one axle bearing and seal, and I still have some cleaning to do and just sent the clutch, flywheel and pressure plate out today to get beefed up. I can't wait to get some paint on it.

Really nice job on the mods! I know from a previous post that is a different engine. What did you transplant in the ol girl?

Looks great, should be a blast to pull. I wonder about one thing I see, the air cleaner looks to be from a 1030? Is there a possibility that will be a air restriction for big spinning 504? Rod.

Rod, I made the air cleaner from the 930 oil bath, I cut the guts out and then used the 2670 inner filter, it seems ok, but I might end up just running a k&n style or something similar that just clamps on the turbo, it has a filter service indicator in the manifold and hasn't went to red under a hard pull yet

Bolts right up, have to do some work on the front casting, I had to cut a lot out of the front casting at the crank pulley, and cut a hole with a hole saw for the steering shaft
