That is Larrys GC. The same tractor I got the steering linkage off and used a patterns to have mine casted. SN C300527 on block. As far as we know there are 3 of them. Vaughn Powell in KS has the third. Would like to hear of others or any CD's that anyone knows of.

I cant imagine running that all day, but I bet they thought they got a lot done in a day.

I bet it was a Lot better than a pick and shovel though lol My Dad told the story of what the first loader that came to his Dad's farm, it was made on a hand start jd A,, it used a rear end off a old car with the hand brake on the rear end to hold the loader in the air, there were hand made spools on the end of each axle that raised the loader, and trip dump, he said it was a total pain to run, but it sure beat the pitch fork and shovel they used to load manure all the years before that unit was bought Me growing up with new 580CK's to use it sounded almost impossible to me at the time they would use something like that

once found a CT 1929 with starter. Now why did not Clousen of Case not allow starter option on C and CC? The CI had to have special block and rear housing for starter. Back in the time would not have but very few dollars for castings and surely several would have bought starter option. Wonder if any L's with the track and loader option were madein 1938 as starter provision was made in 1938?

Does any one know what company built the loader?
It looks like a " Tractson Traxcvator ? to me. If I rember rite they were made in Peoria, Ill.

I have seen a couple of them working when I was a kid. Both were on Cat D 2, s. This was in the late 1940 s.
Watched one dig a basement for a house across the street from my school. Now idea what was the school work was that day! clint
