Drilling with the L series drill

I was able to run some Barley through the drill I got from DC Tom today,, I am sure he was riding along and enjoying how nice it works. I went over the same strip twice so it should do fine if we get rain on it

I had a neighbor, that had a drill like that, but it was about a 16 foot, and it had rubber tires, he maybe put them on, but seeded with it every year until about 1970, when he retired, he pulled a 3 section spiral packer behind it, and did a nice job.

Our neighbor had one like that. His was wider and had the walkway on the back. I used to ride on the back to keep an eye on the oats and alfalfa seed. When it was getting low I made sure each hole had seed to drop until we got to the end of the field so we could load more seed.
