ACG got some question!

So I acquired this 611-b couple weeks ago. It?s been repainted
and different decals put on it. It says caseomatic drive under
the paint and then in new decals it says dual range. The
tractor is a caseomatic drive. It has a high and low. So the
question I have is what should it say on the side? Then what
is dual range and then what is triple range? I?ve seen other
tractors with these decals on but never really stopped to take
a look. Thanks for your help. Check out the air intake pipe
when you install a Chevy altranator!

Yours is a Case-O-Matic Dual Range,, 8 speeds are dual range triple range are 12 speeds,, the 600B never came in just a dual range or a triple range,, as they are all com, you could get a 4 speed, 8 speed or dual range shuttle in a 600B, the 500B came in 4 speed, triple range or dual range shuttle but not com , the 500B/600B use the same engine, the 500B is a dry clutch model the 600B a com
cnt

The 600B should not have the dual range decals on it. Go to (maplehunterdecalsindiana.com)
They have the correct set that you can view and only cost $18.

On my 300b made a new bracket to raise the alternator above the air pipe and still clear the exhaust manifold and the throttle rod. I used some One inch by 1/4 from a hardware store or hardware department. I tried to make it look as stock as possible and I still use the stock belt.

I'm still in the process of converting my 611B to an alternator, and it's been quite an experience. Mounting and wiring was a piece of cake; Using a tiny ND alternator designed for lawn tractors (Kubota and others use it), I mounted it in one hole of the original generator bracket and used the original slotted upper bar. Had to slot the holes where the lower bracket mounts to the PS pump to move the bracket back about 5/16". Steiner carries a wide pulley that fits perfectly. This is a 3-wire but different from the AC/Delco, only need the hot wire and a hot-with-ignition to make it work, panel lamp optional. But it wouldn't charge! Turns out it's getting enough RF interference to spike the voltage regulator, adding a condenser on the hot side of the coil improved it drastically, almost useable. I've ordered two 10mf capacitors, one for the coil + and one for the alternator +, should keep it stable. Don't have pics yet but it's cute!
