OK so I have read threads on using a Chevy Citation or such thermostat as it will fit right in the upper rad hose, my SC has no thermostat and I can't get it to run over 130* unless I block the grill with cardboard.
But if I go to an auto parts store, I will get "What year, engine size?" etc...
Tractor is 450 miles from me. I am not there to physically remove the hood, top hose, measure it.
Buy half a dozen thermostats, see what fits.
I have read this John Salie or what ever guy has actual Case stats- how do I contact this dude?
So if I go in to a store, what year and engine size to tell the kid behind the counter I need?
