A lot of history there. What astounds me is how it could have been let out of the family, but again nothing surprises me any longer. Thanks for sharing Tom, its really a part of the Case history

They were 8 miles from us. On US 20 as we are, and they were in the next town west. DR and my Grandfather were good friends, and DR's sons Frank and Ellis took over the dealership, and dropped Case and went to Ford and New Holland. Frank and Ellis retired and sold the franchise to a fellow named Ross Jones. He added 2 more locations and took on Kubota. The whole operation closed down about 8 years ago. The original dealership is a tire store now, and one of there satellite stores is now an Amish Auction house. Not sure what the demise of the other satellite store in Oneonta is now.

Springer's had a dairy farm in the Town of Warren, which is between us and Richfield Spa. where their dealership was located.
