Vac gear ratio

So I have a vac with a 201 combine engine and my tractor came with 28 inch rear rubber. I am now running 38 inch rubber and the tractor runs a little faster than I?d like. My question is did the tall rubber vac have a different ratio than the 28 inch rubber to keep the speeds the same?

I have 4 VAC and a VAI. One of the VAC had 38s on it but the rims have been modified to work. One had 32s on it and the other 2 had 28s. The VAI has 24s. So yes I too do not think they came out with 38s

I have 4 VAC and a VAI. One did have 38s on it but from what I can tell they where not made for it and the rims where modified to work. One had 32s and those where factory and the 2 others have 28s. The VAI has 24s and from what I have found form being here the 24 is correct on a VAI and either the 28 or 32 are correct on the VAC

I have a friend that has a VAC with 32" tires on it. They are most likely the original tires because of how rotten they are. One has a big tear in the side wall. He spent several years looking for a used set of tires for it. I told him if he did find a used set they would most likely be as rotten as the ones he has on it now. I told him to bite the bullet and buy new ones before the tractor sank in the dirt any further.

No it?s not a typo I put the 38?s on it. This tractor is a pulling
tractor and I?m looking to slow it back down but keep the 38
inch rubber

I have a pair of 9.5X32 tires I would part with. They came off a 9N Ford and are in fair shape. The VAC I have with the 32 inch tires if only a parts machine so I am not likely to ever need a pair of 32 inch tires

Too bad the VAC didn't have a triple range transmission like the 300s have. Then you'd have the low range gears to choose from.
