anyone know if you can safely put a turbo, and turbo pump from a bdt engine on a regular 336 from an 870? thanx

You can.
The 336bdts had small journal cranks and a oil pump mounted on the front main. A lot less revolving weight, and parts. The balancer/oil pump in a large journal 336 could become an issue.
If you have a doner 336bdt, why not use the whole engine.
