Does anyone know the differences between a case vas and vah.I found that the vah is supposed to have 36in rear tires. Is the vas supposed to have 28 or 36 in rear tires?

My VAS has 28in. and my VAH has 36in. that is one of many differences between the VAS and VAH. The VAS is offset, different fenders, rear end. Steve

What is the clearance difference between the 2 under the front axle and the rear? I'm looking to buy one of these tractors to cultivate with and want the most clearance.

The VAS has 24" of clearance under the front axle whereas the VAH has 27". The main difference is the VAS is a single row offset and the VAH is a two row tractor. On the VAS if you are going to cultivate over about 12" you will have to remove the drawbar and support. This typically get done and the drawbar gets lost. The VAS being a single row and also considered a high crop style makes it somewhat top heavy, especially with the left side being on the low side of a slope. It is also considerably shorter that the rest of the VA series. The VAH has a unique lift arm spacing unless you can find one with the narrow wheel option. The VAH was made in both early and late versions while the VAS was only made in the later version. There are other differences but this gives you a idea of the main ones. Lee
