Hey Tom that is a little gem. Don't you wonder how it is after 50 years some how these units have been used so very little. That one it barely broke in. Rod.

I am not knowledgeable about this, which is why I ask. In direct drive 4th gear, forward speed is 20.?? and reverse is 5mph faster. Now since it is called a shuttle and shift from forward to reverse in one motion, is reverse speed to facilitate getting back to the material pile more quickly, and the "slower" forward gear because it will be loaded? I might need this knowledge someday and it does not weigh anything so I can carry it a long ways until maybe I do or someone else does. LOL gobble

You have it 100% the REV speed on the shuttle is 25% faster for loader cycles with shuttle shift you have the same # of forward speeds as reverse, handy as a button on a shirt

Rod, the man who sold it had owned it since 1972 or 74 it had 400 hours on it when he bought it, I am betting there is not another CK unit around with less hours,,

Dan, I do not know who bought it new, the man I got it from bought it with just 400 hours on it in 1972, this man used it at his place and not in his construction biz,, He has a couple JD utility's he kept I assume he bought within the last 5-8 years new so the 430CK was used less and less as time went on but he always kept it inside when he was not using it, it has power steering, dual range shuttle with std pto, Eagle Hitch and remote hyd. I have the original top link as well as the original implement pin for the top link. Missing the drawbar and the Case oil gauge has been replaced as have the rear tires as he said they were weather bad and he thought he was going to have a flat, however the front tires are still original, it also has the optional snow bucket that was added to it sometime. gas engine, even all the lights work even hi/lo on the tail light and the power socket is there along with the tool box , I also received the Case service manual binder with all utility units in it something I had never seen before
