2390 Muffler

Does anybody know if the muffler that you get now from CIH is still made by donaldson? Parts guys here know nothing and if you don't go in with your own part numbers before hand you might not get what you need at all so they are no help. I don't like the Idea of paying over 400 for a muffler to begin with and if its the same as the Stanley one you can get on the aftermarket for 200 I definitely won't have them order it in.

When the one on my 2394 cracked, I stopped at Salem Tractor Parts (ASAP). They sold me an original take off in good condition for $30. My thought is it will outlast the new stuff. DK

I bought one for a 2294 from case a couple of years ago. It was a genuine Donaldson

I agree, I replaced the Muffler on one of my 2294's a few years ago as the original was rusted out when I purchased it. I replaced it with a stanley one and its performed alright but you can definitely tell the difference between it and a donaldson, it even changes the exhaust to a completely different more of a tinny tone that the originals.
