Slowly finishing up a project for my 2 tractors. Now my wife or I can ride shotgun around the farm. This is a quick pre-fit with some more modifications to come. But as of right now it is solid and sturdy. I will build a second axle bracket for the 300 in time. It is meant to be removable so I can swap it between tractors. I used heavy angle iron as a base with a 2" receiver hitch welded to it. This bolts to the axles in the same manner as the fenders. The seat post is 2" square tubing with 1/2" flat stock welded to the top which the seat is bolted to. The axle clamp bolts will get lock washers and lock nuts for extra protection. Hopefully the safety police do not come after me. I do not intend to set land speed records with this seat nor do I intend to do rock climbing with it. Just wanted something to scoot around on with my wife.

As a final note on the seat I will be adding more reinforcing between the flat steel and the seat post.

I am also popping in a dealer decal the I spotted a few days ago for those who are interested.

Ben,
Some of us have tractors so we can get away from our wives. Now you come along and do the opposite. :D

Larry, in actuallity I will be logging more seat time in the buddy
seat than her. She will get to be the Pilot in Command while I
ride along and enjoy the scenery!

There were times when I needed to have my wife drive a tractor. She was at the point where she had confidence enough to operate one of my tractors on her own. That was until she drove it through the back wall of the shed. After that I had a hard time getting her in the seat again. Each fall, after the corn was harvested, I needed her to drive a tractor while I pulled fence post out of my fencing trailer to put up an electric fence around the field. I did that, so I could turn the sows out to clean up the corn field. She didn't want to drive the tractor, or pull the post out of the trailer while I drove the tractor. I would finally convince her that I really needed her help one way or the other. Either drive the tractor or lay out the post. She always chose to be the driver. I had to have this same conversation with her every fall until we quit the hog business.
