Case SC radiator cap

Is there any type of repair kit for the cast iron radiator cap on my SC? It no longer fits tight.

It is a non pressurized coolant system, so would a 1/16 gasket be sufficient for a seal? CM

A few years ago I did replace the original gasket with a new cork gas cap gasket as they are the same size. I was wondering if anyone made a replacement for the tabs that lock into the radiator neck?

oops ,.. a cork gasket will probably fail you ,,. ChucK is so rite about a rubber gasket ,,. if your tabs are gone or very poor ,.go to your favorite radiator shop , junk yard or even NAPA ,, Nothing wrong with new parts.LOL ,the SC ornament can be placed on the NEW Cap with a little engenuity , Although I never put a lot of thought to doing it .

I cut one out of a 1/16" thick piece of brass stock, bending the ears a little to make it easy to engage. This has served my model S for many years without rusting out like the steel original. I cut a gasket out of rubber gasket material.

I removed the little flat strap and put it on up side down. The cap fits much tighter.
