I have a 1985 Case 1494. It's been running great until it sputtered out and died here recently. I have had this happen before. I checked the line coming from the fuel tank, checked the bowl. I got it to start again, only to die after about 3 minutes. I went ahead and replaced the filters (it had been a while). I could start it, but it would die like it had early. I checked the filter at the injection pump. It's clean.
When I take the fitting off going into the fuel filters, I can pump the primer and hear the diesel coming out of the fitting. Once I connect that fitting back on, I can only get one pump and the primer goes limp. Does anyone know any steps I can take to see where I am not getting fuel. It doesn't see to be from the tank. Any help is appreciated.
