There are 3 driving lugs that come thru the cover with the adjustment screws for the fingers. On a diesel they get wallerd out and rattle when you push in the clutch. Only affects diesel not gas.

longcases,

Does the rattle in the pressure plate lead into something worse, causing premature clutch failure?[/quote]

I am also curious. I am not sure what square hole you are talking about.

If your tractor is diesel I would not use a reman pressure plate. The square hole in the pressure plate cover wears and when you push in the clutch it will rattle like the throwout bearing is bad but its the pressure plate floater that is rattling.

We have used Reman for the past 30+ years and have had very good luck. Rod.
