has anyone used reman clutch and pressure plate? just wandering if it is a good way to go versus new. there is quite a difference in price.

If your tractor is diesel I would not use a reman pressure plate. The square hole in the pressure plate cover wears and when you push in the clutch it will rattle like the throwout bearing is bad but its the pressure plate floater that is rattling.

longcases,
Does the rattle in the pressure plate lead into something worse, causing premature clutch failure?

I am also curious. I am not sure what square hole you are talking about.

no the engine is the 188 gas however I am curious as to what it may do if there is a weakness in the clutch. all state parts has a woven clutch disc for my tractor however mine mite be the 4 pad any recomendatios either way? thanks

There are 3 driving lugs that come thru the cover with the adjustment screws for the fingers. On a diesel they get wallerd out and rattle when you push in the clutch. Only affects diesel not gas.
