Picked up a little 48 S yesterday down the street. Price was right. Engine is free and I think will run with little a effert. A JD A followed me home also? Could not pass it up. Electric start, I think it's early 50's model. With brand new Firestone 12.4 x 38 rear tires I could not pass it up for $150.00. Dick

That A is almost a twin to the one dad started farming with. Single front wheel and long axles. This one appears to have 38” rear rubber and dad’s was 42”. He never did like it.

GREAT JOB!!!! I would have done same thing. Now put the new tires on a case tractor and sell the rest of the JD. You will probably pay for the S and be money ahead
