I'm still on the hunt for a spring for my DC foot clutch, if anyone has any info please let me know, thanks Dusty

Have you tried The old hardware store, The one run by mom and pop. They keep a box handy, and not always in plain site. Fastenal is another if they are in your area. Ill check with Casecollectersc and get you a diameter and a length. That is the best place to start.CM by the way ,spring is just around the corner!

I have a new old stock spring like that. I tried to reply to your post last year, but I could"t remember my password. The part
number should be O 8049 AB

if you still have it I'd be very interested parts book shows number to be 09548ab "clutch assist spring" please let me know we can confirm with John Saeli for correct number if need be thanks Dusty

Dusty: O9548AB is the correct number for your clutch spring. I can find no reference to O8049AB. A simple replacement for your spring is to measure the distance needed, find a heavy enough spring & an eye bolt of proper length to get the length you need and you're done. Good luck.

After doing some research I see that the spring I have is for an LAI. It is one piece, no eye bolt 8 1/2" center to center on the
loops and the wire is 1/4 in. dia. Thanks for the correction John. My parts book shows a late S.N. DI using the same spring that
you need

For my 1953 Case DC Brake Pedal Return Spring I used a John Deere 7200 planter drive wheel chain tightener spring.
