I did miss it, my brother in law had one like it, he came down and chopped my dads corn in 1956,was that made by Case , or Gehl Co ?

They sure are neat. I didn't know that there was a hitch to pull the wagon for the chopped material. Was that factory or home made? All the pictures I have seen have a second tractor pulling the wagon for the chopped material like the one above.

What year were those made? It would seem to do all the things that unit did and to pull 2 wagons would take more than a DC.

This one is made up by a welder.Nice job and works well. Saves a man and tractor. If you are on fb I have a video of the machine picking corn
and chopping stalks.

Oh i agree, my brother in law, had a 2 ton GMC truck, that was driven along side, he had a G, John Deere hooked to the chopper, and it gave it a load in the low spots, and it was a single row.

Made in 1954. The wagon hauling the fodder pulls easy because the dry corn stalks don't weigh up. We ran it in the field and it pulled very easy....course mud would change all that.

I'm thinking kenbob meant powering the machine as well as pulling the wagons. Seems you said it gave one of your DC's about all it could handle?
