Got the DC4 carburetor on and bolted up. I had to machine a special tool. Getting the bolts in with my big fingers was no easy chore. Dick

The oil bath box[don't know the proper name} has slotted holes allowing vertical and lateral movement. With that said, mounting the carb, and [again don' know the part name]90 degree tube should be assembled loosely. It is like putting an exhaust system together .Put all components together loose ,then snug together in sequence. Glad you found the recipe!. Ain't it fun when it all comes together!CM

Man, I remember that hassle on a couple of LA tractors I had. My fingers were definitely too big for the job.

Not to argue with any one , but on dads two 1950 DC s None of the holes on the air cleaner or carb were slotted. I wonder if Case wised up latter on ?
We usually had a lot of trouble getting the two bolts started in the under side of the rad. top tank and the top elbow.
The two bottom side rad bolts were rusted in so they could not be loosened. AaHa, the good old days! clint
