it goes on a 4 cyl Case air cooled engine mounted on my 140 W Cae Bailer 1950. Where its bolted together, it is 3 1/4in dia.

Sorry, that I could not help you out this afternoon. As I told you on the phone, the only working pump that I had went onto a 310G dozer that I am bringing back from a firy death.
We had a poor phone connection and I had trouble hearing you, but I had a low pressure MoPar thumper pump fail on an early 310 dozer and the new electric pump that I installed had too much pressure and over flowed the float valve. Bro e-mailed me a link for a pressure regulator valve available at Auto zone, which solved the problem.
I will give him a jingle and perhaps he can furnish you the link.

What I did, was to put a shut off valve in line. I put a hammermill belt on the pulley to the tractor then start turning it, then ease open the valve, till it starts, then adjust it till it sounds and runs good.
Found a guy in Tex who will overhaul it for $100. That aint happening soon lol.

Low pressure pumps are available. I have one on a skid loader and a cub cadet mower. Off hand I don't remember the manufacture or the specs.
