Thanks Don L.
I had checked the Tractor Data site and it showed no change in the bore. I'm not sure who does the research for that site but there sure is a lot of errors.

The L was originally tested on kerosene, and developed 44 hp. In 38 it was tested on distillate and developed 47 hp. For whatever reason, the LA wasn't tested until the very end of its production, and then tested 3 times on 3 fuels, but the distillate test was a consistent 49 hp, of which the 2 hp difference may have been due to additional 50 rpm. The gas was 58 hp, and the LP was 59. The compression was higher on those tests due to corresponding gas and LP heads.

There wasnt a change in the bore on LA. I think Don will concur if he revisits. Always 4 5/8 bore on both models from factory.
