The bell housing pattern is ok with the exception of the starter mount, the 600 has a 2 bolt mount and the 430 has 3 and they do not match so any 2 line up. The problem can be overcome with a little ingenuity, I have helicoiled the block holes to accept short bolts to hold the starter on.

Hi.....I purchased a Case 610 B at a yard sale. Someone, had removed the original engine and installed a CASE 188 Gasoline engine from a Case 600 Combine. Lots of power and consumes a lot of fuel.

They had to extend the steering shaft 1 5/8 " as well as the rear support 1 5/8 "(whish bone) of the front axel:

Hood /bonnet had a hole placed in such a location as exhaust is straight vertical from exhaust manifold:

Possibly above info is of assistance:

Bob...

I have never noticed the bolt pattern of the Starter. I can testify, there was NO adopter plates of any type used to install the 188 gasoline case combine engine onto the case 610B bell housing.

I managed to purchase a second Case 610B for parts, as well as two case 600 Combines with 188 engines .

As I'm away for several months from our summer home I have only these two pictures in my Computer:

Bob... It would be nice to be able to get a little better look at the starter/bellhousing joint, it looks like someone has done what I said to mount the starter, no there was never any adapter either way, that is the starter that matches the 188 gas engine so if it is the 600 bell housing there will be a mismatch at the starter pattern but will work
