We will see if this works like I think it will.

Don sent me his dealer information and I entered it into google maps to put it into context. There are a few hiccups with it but
they will hopefully get ironed out. The attached link should take you to the map. There will be several check boxes on the left
side. You need to only check the first 3 -> "Case Dealer Map Data" "Wisconsin" & "Wyoming." The others below are duplicates and
will be removed at some point.

Thanks for sending your information my way Don.
We can work on the Canadian dealers at some point as well if you would like.
Case Dealership Map Link

Your link didn't work for some reason. It's fun to poke the balloons to get a little information about that towns Case dealerships. My 300RN came from Adams, WI. The closest dealer was in Friendship. I wonder if they were still in business in 1956 when the 300 was built? I could order a build card, but I found that a lot of small dealers ordered their tractors from a larger dealer, then sold and serviced by the small dealership. I found this out when I got a build card for one of the 400's I owned. The build card stated that the tractor was shipped to Barneveld Implement. The original owner purchased the tractor from Klar Implement in Platteville, WI. Dad told me that the Case company wanted their dealers to carry a larger inventory than a lot of dealers could afford. They stayed in business by servicing the older implements they had sold before Case wanted them to carry the big inventory, and if a customer wanted a new tractor the smaller dealer would purchase one from a larger dealer that carried the bigger inventory. Sorry this got to be a long posting.

The dealership changed hands in the 1950's
in Friendship In the late 1940's Alfred
Bowers (Bowers Farm Service) ran it. Then it
was Nickels in the 1950's Not sure of the
years.I own a 22?37 thresher that Bowers
sold new

Cool map. At least one Virginia Dealer is missing. Swift Tractor in Oilville Virginia. Sold Case and New Holland in the 1970s at least. Not sure when they went out of business. Left for College in 1978, then to work for thee Navy. I know sometimes in the 1980's/90s they went out of business and everything went at auction.

So there's a chance my 300 was sold in Friendship. I'll have to take a closer look at the tractor to see if there is a shadow of a dealers sticker on it. Thanks for that bit of information.

Thanks to everyone for the work in this. If you seek corrections, I have one. Jos. Pohl & Sons Marine ILL. was in the small town of Marine, IL Madison county. That's in southern Illinois 25 or so miles east of St. Louis Mo. It was my families go to Case dealer, in what seems like a million years ago. Again, thanks to Don and everyone for doing this.

(quoted from post at 16:03:45 01/25/18) I am from the adams-friendship area.Who
owned your 300? Thanks Bill Schroeder

I don't remember the sellers name, but do remember where he lived. He was located on 10th Lane off of county M south east of Adams His place was the first place on the right when turning onto 10th Lane.

Was the sale just lately? Our local club raffled off a 300rn case last fall and the winner was a local man.The tractor had new back tires installed on back and seemed to run very well
Peterson was his last name

A hickup I noticed is a Minnesota listing on Grand Forks, ND.

Also the one I sent to Don R was Cando, ND dealer and they sold Chevrolet cars and trucks too if you want to add that.

A super job with this. Thanks a million.

Ron

I am sure there is more work to be done, but our Dealership and several others in our area are missing here on, and around the US Rt. 20 corridor of central NY.
Pretty neat, thanks
Loren

The tires weren't new, and it had car tires on the front. The previous owner bought the 300 because he wanted the loader off of it. He was going to put the loader on a Minneapolis Moline he bought from his grandfathers estate. I think his first name might have been Corey.

I can't open the map but will throw out some names I have heard. Phelps Farm Service Phelps, NY. Dinsmore Diesel Fayette, NY. O'Meal Tractor East Palmyra, NY. Hoskins Auburn, NY. Case Power and Equipment Weedsport, NY. I forget the one that proceeded SC Hansen in Hornell, NY. If somebody had a 1960's or 1970's vintage Hoard's Dairyman for NY all the major manufacturers ran ads complete with dealer locations.

Hello Loren,

Your family's dealership is definitely on the spreadsheet. Could I send it to you for your review? Thanks, Don

Thanks for the dealers Tod! I do have Joseph Pohl on the spreadsheet, but not the other two. Would it be possible for you to spell the name of the dealer in Mitchell? I can't quite decipher that one. Don

Bill,

You gave me the name of Bowers Farm Service many years ago. Do you happen to know any more information of Nickels? Thanks, Don

Wow what a wonderful thing u did for history, But i think i forgot to tell you about Hecla [pronounced Hekla] Implement, In Hecla South Dakota Owned by Virgil Osterlo, he had to have sold Lahman stack movers too, because that where they were made, and he was the only dealer in town, he sold a lot of gravity boxes, corn cultivators etc too. but don't know the brands names. The building and business is still there sells short lines, His son operates it now! If you want his sons name, i will call somebody tomoorow,to late now.

Don yes by all means, but you tried to e-mail me the list and that didn't work. My e-mail is open, so we can exchange usps addys.
Thanks Don.
Loren

Agree with Loren, as ours isn't there in Edinburg or Cavalier, but it would be great if somehow we could keep this link somewhere on here for all of us to access. This is the start of a great tool

Don.. Interesting thing is that the advertisement from 1958 list them in Mitchell. A different one from 1959 lists them in Granite City. Mitchell was and still is unincorporated. It's a matter of pride thing down there. Residents still vote no to incorporation. If you get a minute and interested in Route 66 things, the Luna Cafe was in Mitchell. The Buenger family settled right in that area when they came from Germany and farmed around there and on Chouteau Island. My grand father farmed on the island until the Army Corp of Engineers built a canal on the river through my grandfathers farm. He moved 20 miles east to the Troy, St Jacob, Marine area. Other cool thing about Mitchell IL. was the Chain of Rocks bridge over the Mississippi river, it had a 30 degree turn half way across the river, 50 feet above the water. I always like the history of my family and that area, even have a Buenger Blvd. in Granite City, IL.

I sold a Case 411 wide front to a person that lived in Granit city, Il. His name is Chris Vangle. I also have a shed that I covered with used corrugate tin that has a Granit City, IL. stamp on the sheets.

Wrights , Liberty Ky , dont seem to be pinned ,,.Loox like you got Hunts in
Louisville and Shaffer in New Albany ,,.. that is quite a job..but Just imagine
the work that was done maintaining and feeding info ,getting feedback and
supporting all those dealers ,...the pin is meant for location only , Right
,,.No names

Tod,

My German great grandparents weren't as smart as your relatives. They settled up here where there was 6 inches of gravel on top of bedrock and were too stubborn to leave.

Your ads are interesting because I have Otto H. Roman in Mitchell (Granite City P.O.) in 1948 and O.J. Dornseif Hardware and Implement in Worden, holder of a 20 year Case dealer plaque. They both must have been gone by 1958. A lot of hardware store were dropped by Case in the early 50's when diesels were introduced. Had you heard of either one of these dealers before? Don

Don, Im 55 years old and for a time in my life I knew everything. So I didn't talk with my dad much, then he passed away in 1994 when he was 56. Grand dad lived until age 92 but had alzheimers and he died in 1997, never knowing his son had passed. So.. when i got smart and started to look back on childhood memories. I have no one to ask or talk with.
I have no memory of the shops you asked about. I know Pohl, as the grandson RJ Pohl is around the same age as me and was able to connect with him, and remembers my family and the farm. Pohl was only 6 country road miles from the farm. When Pohl closed in the 70's we would drive to Florrisant Mo. for dealer Case parts. The farm was sold at auction in the 1980's

Hello Jim,

I do have Wright's on the spreadsheet. For some reason Google maps left some dealers off the map. Also, if you highlight a bubble the name, location, and some other info should appear. Don

Tod,

I can't begin to name all the people I wish were still around to ask a question or two. More of the old Case people are leaving us all the time.

Was the dealer in Florrisant Casper Jost and Sons? Or was it a Case P and E store? Thanks for all the info! Don

Hello Dan,

Your dealerships are definitely on the spreadsheet. For some reason Google maps did not recognize some dealerships. We'll try to fix that. I forwarded copies of the spreadsheet to both magazine editors and neither seems to be interested at all. Don

It was Jost, parts guy was Duane. I have no idea why I remember that mans name, when I cannot remember last nights supper. Had to be in the mid 70's when we were going to Jost. The last tractor purchased from Pohl was a new 770 with a chisel plow in 71-72? I was 11 and rode on the fender with my uncle driving it home.

Great Map Of Case Of Dealer Ships one Dealer Ship I Found Is Wrong Its Listed In Oregon You Have It Listed As Michigan Hillsboro Should Be Oregon Hillsboro I Have Alot Of Orignal Articles On Roy Heinrich Case Dealer Ship.

Hello Don,

Hope all is going well, no worries about the dealerships, as you are just getting this started, but I will do some thinking, maybe there is another place we can enjoy the link, and maybe even more. This is a great map, and will be so interesting as it keeps going. Its too bad we don't have our own Case site that could be a resource for all of us here that love Case

Wow Guess I haven't been back to this site since Jan 25. Getting old and can't remember all the entries I make on YT !!

Yes the Cando, ND dealer was Cando Sales and Service, Julian Bowersox and they sold Chevrolet also

Don, I know a little about the Case dealer in Alton, IA as I worked there the summer after I got out of school in 1969. Don't remember the name of the dealer in the 50's but I remember he also sold Kaiser Fraizer cars. Tri County was co-owned (i think, By Don Kaat and Marlo Hanson. They sold Case and New Idea. I am not sure when they went out of business. I think some sort of implements are still sold at the site of their last store. I am assuming they went in with International Harvestor in Orange City IA
