Hand steering pump puking oil 2590

Heard and felt a pop yesterday when I was turning the tractor. Realized I lost most of my steering abilities and got out and started looking and noticed oil coming out the backside of the hand pump . I'm no mechanic by any means and just wondering what I can expect when I start taking things apart . Any tips or advice would be appreciated thank you .

looks like it is the seal at shaft,not hard to get out 4 bolts on rubber mounts,4 lines,pull pin from steering shaft,never put one in not much help I always had access to another pump

The same seal kit goes into the 1070 steering pump. Just put one in yesterday. Once the steering pump is removed cap off all off the hydraulic ports. Mount unit in vice Remove dust cover. Remove the snapring from around the shaft seal. Now if you use a prybar and turn the shaft. Pressure buildup will push out the brass spacer and the seal. 86585473 is the CNH part number you need. There is good installation instructions in the kit.
