Hey all, I searched the forum and found the part numbers for the bypass filter I'm looking for. Which is the

Marvel Engineering Co. Bypass Filter Element
NSN: 4330-00-918-8077
P/N M-2032-135-35

I cannot for the life of me find one or cross reference it to another part on the internet.

Can anybody steer me in the right direction for a replacement filter?

This may have to be bought from a CE dealer as cih decided it was a good idea to make certain parts available only through a AG or a CE dealer cnt

Both these pics are from Case parts substitution manual dtd 1989. Generally it is the same part with just a p/n change.

1. Note that D21008 cross-ref to R2799. This is an old manual p/n's may have changed again. 2. C28783 just gives an outside source, does not state whether it is a filter or not.

3. Two C28783 filters listed available as CasIH parts at this link. You'll have to confirm it is the filter you need. I don't know how to order from this site, I think you may have to do it through a Case dealer. Anyway if you figure out how to order please post back the procedure.

that looks like the filter housing and filter. I think I may have tracked down a new part number D21008=C28783.

The original filter element was a cleanable edge wound type. It is in series with the oil return circuit not a bypass. They hole and/or collapse due to differential pressure when clogged or from system high back pressure.

The element is original Case p/n G13113. John Saeli sells the element. Also a suitable substitute disposable type element is Wix 51518.

Ooops, I was addressing the tractor internal hydraulic return oil filter shown in CNT pic. After reading the thread more closely, as I should have done in the first place, not sure what filter element you need.

I believe the one I have is a wire mesh. I just cleaned mine with lacquer thinner and blew it out with compressed air.

Mine on my 310B hoe/loader is a mesh cleanable one. Mine was missing and I got a great one from our Knuk neighbor, Jean Claude Marleau, he monitors this and has an excellent stash of new and used parts
