VAC rear light question

My VAC has what I would call the usual seat with the one spring and the rear light attached to the seat bracket. I tested the light and everything works. My question is how did the factory send the wire back there. There was no wire when I got it and any of the ways I can think of leave the wire sticking out where it can be caught on something.

Ken, The wire on my dads 1950 VAC ran on the right side of the torque tube . It was held there by wire holders on the trans back, then up the seat iron on the right side. It also was run in loom to protect the wire.

That is how I mine is so far, running through the same hole under the platform that the hydraulics run. Running alongside the brake pedals concerned me a little. I guess I had it figured right. Thanks for the info. I was surprised my red light and the switch both worked. The switch was a bit frozen, but some electronic cleaner and teflon spray has it working smooth again. Thanks for the tip.

I have not chimed in as I had not got any pics yet but my 50 VA had the factory wire still on to the tail light when I bought it, mine was ran on top of the torque tube/transmission/rear end and up to the light, I did find a few pics in the SM showing them just like mine was
