Case o Matic in cold weather

I fired up my case o matic 611b last week. It had been sitting for 2 months and it was -10 F over night and about 0F when I started it. The tractor fired right up and ran fine but would barely move. I let it warm up for about 10 minutes and then it would drive fine. Is this normal for the case o matic in low temp?

I would not worry about that, the converter drains out when sitting for a time, sometimes overnight, in cold weather the converter may take a few minutes to fill, 680 series backhoes with converters it was standard practice to start and run the tractors for several minute before they would move

I bet your PU was a bit sluggish also. I don't move very well in those temps either, until I warm up. I am well over 59 years old like your 611B and getting slower in this current weather also.

With the cold weather upon us we normally let our 70 series tractors warm up for no less then 20 minutes. My gas powered pickup I start and let run for at least 10 minutes before I move it.I would'nt even try to just start them up and go.
