Hitch T8 spreader

Question on the hitch, does it just hold up or what. I have the parts manual but not the operator's manual. Thank You Jerry from Ohio

Not exactly sure what you mean by up. Here is the explanation of how the Self Riser Hitch works on the T-8 spreader. There is a latch, with the rope lever that locks the hitch into the transport position. Pull the rope and the latch releases, and then back up and spreader lowers to ground. To raise the spreader off the ground, after rehooking to hitch clevis, simply pull ahead, and spreader raises to transport position again.

Loren, Thank you for the reply. The t8 spreader for parts has this on it ,while the other t8 has it missing. I am going to put it on the good spreader. That is one easy way to hook up and unhook.

We did that all the time when I was a kid and the loader tractor was the spreader tractor also.
