fixing slop in VAC seat

I had asked sometime ago how folks fixed the slop in the seat of their VAC's. Oconnor9988 had the most thorough fix. What he did is for the ages. I am an urban cowboy I guess and have no welder so I had to make do. For the bottom bracket, I removed the old pins. The seat bracket holes were oval and I thought drilling them to a round size would take out too much meat. so I used an oilite 3/4 od 5/8 id bushing on each side. Since there is no room for a bolt head on the pin that holds the seat to the tractor bracket, I used a pin for a reciever hitch. I tried using jb weld to make the holes rounder so the bushings werent loose but I think it is too cold for jb to stick to iron. It still is a big improvement. i make try to seat those bushings this summer with some warm jb or some metal solder.

lBolt 2 as seen in the picture was a bit easier. Again I didn't want to drill to the next size as the meat is thin on the seat brackets,so I went to metric and found a 14mm bolt almost fit. I used a dremel tool on the holes and the bolt is in there with out slop and plenty of white grease. Still have the upper bolt to do. It should be easy enough.

THe receiver pin might look a little lame, but with the bolts so close down there you would need a pin with a whole on each end that you could put a cotter pin through, or weld it from the inside, as per factory. I'm not planning on getting a welder.
