Finally finnished my corn today. This field
was wet and poor quality because it was
planted late and got froze before it was
ripe. Got 2 loads, about 600bu from a
little over 4 acres. Got a few things to
fix before next year, a couple bearings and
a couple places that have worn through.

Good to hear.
Just thinking!! (that could be bad) Wonder if you could borrow a couple of those roll-offs that you haul around, and haul your corn with them??? Just thinkin Jon.

Jon,

Sure is nice to see a Case combine still harvesting corn. I give you a lot of credit for keeping it going. Don

Great to hear you were able to finish Jon. Nice set of pics. Looks like the machine was doing a good job, you have a nice sample in the grain tank. Rod.

Jon, Glad to see you have finished the harvest. Those are great pictures. Here you are not over the road now. So I guess I will need to come and see you, and buy you lunch. Merry Christmas and Happy New year. Jerry

It's that much by volume, but it's wet, in the high 20% range, and will likely test light, I'm guessing 50lb or less on this stuff.

Glad your done jon. That is a great feeling I know. Nice to see a genuine case combine still working. How s the new job. RB

Jon that is great you got it done .. the frost must be thick up there .. I plow my garden Sat. and we got none to 2 inches ...
Get time e-mail me ... { about a pic. for calendar } ............ mark

Hi Jon
Good looking machine
Can you tell me what model Corn head that is
I’m looking for a four row head for my case combines
Glad you are finished
Dugger

that is a model 404 4-wide rows, they also made a 403 4-row narrow,, I have never seen the narrow version yet myself but they made them
cnt

I would like to find a 403 some day, along with a bean head or straight cut head. I'm thinking about planting beans next year, so the straight cut head will be as priority this year.

I happened to walk by my 404 head the other day and noticed it had the newer track logo on the serial plate. I know all 402 heads have the newer logo also. Wonder when it was made as the 404-A came after and was a much improved head. Seems they would have to have been made in late 69.

great pics and congrats on finishing. i notice 2 mufflers on side. whats up w/ that ? what motor does it have ?

It has the Chrysler 318 v-8. The y-pipe was junk and I didnt want to make another and had a spare muffler so I just put that on.
