A few pics of my son Dave with the 1175 and Case G offset from Sunday afternoon-the last day of fieldwork for this year.

With the exception of plowing Don, Disking was one of my favorite tasks, especially after dark. Something magical about field work after dark, especially with a DC-3 CM

Chuck; you just liked the way the muffler and manifold glowed red when the DC was swallowing cool fresh evening air.
I spent many nights piloting an LA that made the muffler glow at night.

Looks to be doing a nice job Don, given the amount of corn stalks on the ground the yield was pretty good also. We tried strip till on a few acres of corn stalks to see how that works out next year. Rod.

I liked the pictures Don, and that "1175", thanks for sharing with us, and good to see you

Monday we did some stalks with the 2590 on my 9 shank Glencoe soil saver and the 1070 on my Brady 6rn stalk cutter. I should have put the 2290 on the Brady because it was working the heck out of the 10. Wish I had time to take some pictures but we were trying to beat the storm on the way.

Hello Rod.

That Case offset disk has probably saved my body several years of wear and tear from stone picking. What a great tillage machine. You are right about the corn yield, this field ran 170 -180 bu/Acre. More than likely the best we've ever done. Not bad for 90 day corn this close to the Arctic Circle LOL Don

Chuck,

I used to do a lot of plowing at night after school in the fall after football was over. Either a D or DC4 pulling an Oliver 3-16 trailer plow. Second in sod and 3rd in oats or wheat stubble. Loved every minute of it. Straight pipes were a little hard on the hearing they tell me LOL Don

Yes Doug, I know what you mean. Sunday night we got over an inch of rain and now everything is froze solid. I was just lucky to have a digital camera behind the Dodge's seat as I was hauling a bunch of firewood home while Dave was disking. I thought now or never. Don
