Please correct me if I am wrong, but I am assuming that an engine from a David Brown 880 Selectamatic will fit either a 780 or an 885. Am I correct?
 
Minor differences, but interchangeable as a whole, 1190 and 1194 too, 770 as well(albeit less powerful and less displacement).
 
OIl pump may be an issue, lengths varied between models based on how deep the frame was and pan depth. Easy to swap around parts to get one that will work though.
