Case 2470 PTO problems

Hello, having some pto problems. I have a 2470 Case 4wd that I decided to hook onto my manure spreader this fall to get some use out of it. Turned on the pto, ran the apron, worked fine for a half a load, now it slowly stopped and shimmy?s. Long story short, acts like a pto clutch is slipping. How big of a chore is it to replace the pto clutches on that tractor? Debating on tackling it myself or not. Thanks

First check the linkage from the lever in the cab down to the actuating spool, and make sure the spool is traveling the required distance from OFF to ON. Then check the pressure at the line that feeds the PTO clutch pack. Sorry, I don't have the pressure rating at my finger tips. Does the PTO still stop??? If it does you may not have to get into the clutch pack.
