51 VAC starter post problem

Thought my battery was weak. Tractor would barely turn over. Charger showed a full charge.
Found the cable was a little loose on the starter and found out the threads on the stud were stripped.
Pulled up on the cable and it would crank right up. Took starter to 76 year old rebuilder and he said he could not get new posts to solder in. Reached in a box and grabbed an adapter and screwed the adapter on after taking the lower nut off.
Asked him what I owed him and he said "No Charge".
Tried it and it worked great.

I am not that far from 70. This guy is the best starter, alternator, generator man in the country to my way of thinking. He has patents on airplane starter designs and 2 factories going in this country. He just keeps this home shop going to stay busy and help the people he grew up around and who grew up around him. I have been doing business with him for over 50 years.
