Case 2290 question

Hello case experts. I haven't posted on this site before but I figured someone on here would be able to answer my question. I have a 1979 Case 2290 that I use for logging in North Idaho. (dragging and loading harvested trees). It's only 40 acres so no, I don't have any heavy logging equipment nor do I want to hire any loggers. I had a forester submit a county required plan for new tree planting that calls for plowing approximately 10-12 ft wide strips. I was looking at something like an old John Deere 1710A chisel plow or equivalent. These things have 9 chisel shanks in addition to a single disk row. Does anyone know if my 2290 will pull this size of chisel plow? Or should I try to get an hp rating from Deere. Thanks Ray S.

Thanks for the advice. The area I need to plow is meadow/grass and no roots are present. I've since read threads on this subject and it seems like this size plow would work fine for my purpose and my 2290 will pull it ok depending on soil and other conditions. I can always modify and add/subtract shanks on these implements, right. Ray
