Operating Fork DC Governor

These tend to develop flat spots affecting acceleration.
Any thoughts on repairing or replacing them?

(quoted from post at 18:38:22 11/08/17) I appreciate the info a quick fix!

John, the length of the rod on the carb side has much with sensitivity on these governors, before I would condemn the forks I would adjust the rod length till it just fits with the throttle wide open and the carb in the WO position also. Engine off of course LOL
Governor response can be tweaked a little by changing the rod slightly and sometimes a slight surge if the governor is a bit to sensitive and a bit of touch up there may be needed.

I have changed the governor spring and new carb so I'm sure
things have changed somewhat on both sides
Thanks for the info will keep tweaking

Flat spots on the fork make the governor lazy. It doesn't want to come off the flat spot. No if,ands or buts about it.
