CC differential and L differential

Was there any significant difference between the cc differential and the L differential, and could they be swapped over or could Bull gears interchange? Inquiring minds want to know. CM

I suspected that. I am looking into a cc that a fellow yt member has and the differential has 1296 stamped on her. I have sent an inquiry to John Heath for some clarification on what that number means as far as gear ratio. Did you save any grain for the antelope in the back 40 Tom?CM

You will find that the ratios in the CC's change at the bevel gears, not in the differential. Some
of the early ones are FAST. If you installed a 4th gear from an early DC they would tool down the
road. I would think you would prefer rubber to steel wheels.

chuck ,. you gotta compare apples to apples,.. CASE in point .... even though the sc rearend loox very similar to a DC ,.they will not interchange easily as a bolt in ,.. the cc begat the DC ,,.the L begat the LA,. i will agree they do look similar and mite even share Some parts ,.But not sure anything would interchange easily without a lot of headaches ...

Thanks for the input fellows. It has been a great help. As I close in towards my retirement, I am looking forward to trying different things with the Old Iron that is just a little outside of the box. I am sure that many different things have been tried, but I think there is a little more room for experimentation. CHEERS CM
