clutch pedal 5220

I recently bought a low houred 5220 that the PO had badly neglected. Will be a nice tractor to use when restored. In the meantime we are using it and finding the bugs. One item is the pedal has to be almost all the way out before the clutch engages. There is no slipping, just not engaging in the middle of the travel so it is uncomfortable going from another tractor to the 5220. I assume there is an adjustment? Is this a true clutch assembly or is it similar to the Case power shift inching pedal with switches?

Doesn't that have a cable to the clutch valve under the cab. Is this a F/R clutch valve or a F/N/R. I think the switches are more of an indicator to the shift module than anything. I have a manual but would have to go back and do some reading. Tom

Timber have done some reading. First let me say YOU NEED A SERVICE MANUAL. Unfortunately I have no scanner or would scan some pages.
There are two and maybe three switches on the clutch circuit at the dash. I think one is a reed switch. Check all continuity use an 1156 bulb so you know they make good contact. Their also are a couple pressure switches on the shuttle block as well as two solenoids. Might want to check some voltages down there. Need a minimum 12 volts. 14 better. May have to make up a relay pack to get voltage. HTH Tom
