case t-10 sickle mower knife head

good evening all, I have a case t-10 trailer type sickle mower 7ft. and after I was done 2nd cut was cleaning and greasing the mower and saw the knife head with the pitman arm ball that bolts to the cutter bar was cracked in half! went to my local case dealer and of course it was N.A. found the identical knife head on ebay and ordered it today. it turns out they where made by Herschel for case as well as new idea and others. the part # is 045HS H15-0253. so if any members here have a case 3pt #10 or trailer type t-10 and your looking for this part I hope this helps. I pull this mower with my case 310b, which also pulls my nh. 256 rake. ( I also pulled a jd. 336 baler with it!!) but I've since got a mm-m5 60 hp. for the baler. that little 310b just keeps amazing me on what it will do :lol:

your welcome dick, I was just cruising through case nutty's 1660's posts and pics of this summers work, wow it is so great to see someone take the time, hard work and effort and I'm sure a lot of dollars to keep all his case equipment rolling. besides being a case "hoarder" :wink: he's also a very talented photographer, I better pick up the pace I've got a long way to go to catch up with case nutty :lol:
 
Great information, I have a "T10" and need parts, I had forgotten about Herschel.

update on the Herschel sickle mower head, I just phoned Herschel in iowa and they can't get that particular head any more, apparently the owner of the co. that made them passed away and the co. was shut down. I am going to take my broken sickle head to a machine shop in edm. with new cnc lathes and see what it would cost to make them, I going to guess around $150.00 to $200.00 cdn. Herschel told me they sold them for $117.00 us. will keep you posted on how I make out as I will get the machine shop to make me a new one.
 
update on the update case t-10 sickle mower head, just got an email from Herschel this morning and they found a handful of the H15-0253 sickle heads in their sickle assembly area that was not on their inventory list. they are going to package these up and send them to ctfarm supply, a sister company who is their retailer as Herschel sells to dealers only and not the end user. ct farm's phone # is 8880828-3267 their email contact is "link_disallowed.com" so if your looking for one give ctfarm a call. john
