removing david brown 885 valve

I have been attempting to remove rockshaft and hydraulic valve from 885 david brown The selector switch and valve slide partially out and then binds. Is it possible that relief valve screw is hitting on top? there is no easy way to get to it in the housing. Any ideas will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

kenney, did you disconnect the lowering control knob from the front side? Also you need to remove the nut inside that housing also. Emergency brake disconnected on the bottom? Did you unhook the pressure pipes from the front of the control valve? How about the set bolt on the out board side of the housing? Do you have a book? Not something to go after blindly. The set bolt is to be loosened 9 turns only, any more and you will be fishing.
