How are you faring with the wild fires Dick .Thoughts and prayers to those affected CM.

Thanks for asking Chuck. We're good here. We have had fires all around us this summer, but nothing close enough to bother us except for the smoke. I'm really feeling for the folks in Northern California right now. It's reall bad down there. Santa Rosa and Napa Valley is 400-500 miles south of us. Dick
On Sunday northern Ca. had 55 plus MPH north wind. Some of these fires started with downed power lines caused by the high wind. Santa Rosa and Napa Valley were hit the hardest. Many homes destroyed and close to 200 people missing. The fires started around 10:00 PM and moved rapidly. We have family that live in the Santa Rosa area that had to evacuate but they did not lose there homes. Steve

They say downed power lines. This should not surprise anyone, we've been telling them to stop development and start managing fuels in most of California for half a century that I know of. Too much money in building houses in that beautiful area. And of course as long as humans keep breeding like flies we gotta build houses somewhere. Wish I had a magic solution...(quoted from post at 10:46:48 10/12/17) Prayers headed out to all in California. I can't imagine loosing everything I own to a wild fire. Does anyone know how it started?
