Working on my 1967 830 I thought I had this fixed but it stuck again today in the up position. 3pt will go up and down and then it will stick in the up position when you raise it. the quadrant will move partway down and will physically stop and won't go down or lower 3pt . Oil looks ok a little milky not dirty or black. filter recently changed. Any Idea's

My first thought is in what you said about the oil, hydraulic oil should always be clean clean clean !!! Not black , and if it is milky , it has water in it. No sure I will say this is the only problem with your 3pth but it will be a problem with your hydraulic system sooner or later.I would drain out the oil, clean the sump screen and change the filter, then run it for a while, then change the oil and filter again to try to remove all of the contaminated oil. I try to run clean hydraulic oil in all of my tractors, and I don;t have to worry about cross contaminating the oils when using different tractors on various equipment with remote cylinders

Just a thought, and I'm not close to my tractors, but isn't there a adjustment to snug up the actual lever? What I'm saying, could the lever be slipping?
