differential rebuild question

I'm rebuilding my diff for my 1961 Case tractor W3 (530) with loader and backhoe and was advised to replace fiber thrust washers between differential side gears with metal ones. I need to replace them anyways due to needing a different thickness required. Is it standard practice to replace the fiber thrust washers for the 3 pinions in the center wheel with metal ones too?

Mel here, there are no washers behind the spider pinions.

I went and rechecked and the way it is machined it looked like washers in there. I need to get my eyes checked lol.
