1370 power shift pause

I just recently bought a Case 1370 . What a tractor. I love it and plan refurbish it 100 percent . So I was setting up a plow yesterday waiting on
this rain we are getting here in Texas so it will be ready to go when it dries out . So I was pulling an14ft. offset in 2nd geAr at about 1200 rpms
and I hit the power shift . Well with the plow on the tractor it acted like it went to neutral just for a sec. But the plow had all but stopped the
tractor and I was just about to grab the throttle and BAM!!! We pulled the front wheels of the ground.
Now at this point the family dog was ready to unload. So the next time I throttled the tractor all the way back. It wasn't as bad and the tractor
never stop moving but the RPMS WHERE SO LOW that it was lugging the tractor. I pick up a IT manual and going to check adjustment on the
power shift. Is there anything else I need to look at. Thank you in advance. Once in gear it pulls like a train! And I have tried to post this
message 2 other times but it hasn't go through so forgive me if it shows up more tha once!

When shifting up or down with the PS lever do so briskly and quickly, moving the lever too slowly can cause that to happen. Also the control cable should be adjusted so when shifting the lever you can feel the lever going completely into the next detent position. If the complete movement from detent to detent is not accomplished a hesitation can occur. If that all checks out the C-2 retard screw could be out of adjustment, it would need to be carefully turned in a little at a time while checking the shift each time. A bad leak or wear in the PS can also cause that problem and that requires going inside the tractor to repair. Rod.

Agree, plus the C2 retard check valve(steel ball, light spring and retainer) might be missing due to retainer failure.C3 has one also.

Just want to up date and follow this up. Mine happens to be out of adjustment. Working it in now . as long as I feel that 1st notch . All is good .
Thank you guys for the Help. Adjustment makes all the diffence. I got a I & T manual.
